4930 spectators had come to Kriminal this cloudy day. People from all of Beograd had joined up for the derby. Jerkovic started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Lerinc - Radić, Medica, Orahovac - Binić, Causse, Deligny, Mijatović, Hĺkansson - van Halst, Vojinovic.
Azdaje tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. The following players had been chosen: Jokić - Dusic, Oncioiu - Asani, Batrović, Dobrnjac, Grnčarov, Škorić - Eriksen, Mladenovic, Radić.
Azdaje seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. In the 13th minute Ivica Mladenovic surprised the opponents with a 40 metre pass to Zoran Radić who quite easily could settle the score to 0 - 1. Azdaje seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and were down to the inadequate level of organisation. After 36 minutes Jerkovic´s Wouter van Halst contracted a slight foot injury, but could finish the game. Azdaje appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only inadequate. In the 40:th minute the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 4 as Zoran Radić finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. By then Zoran Radić was a three time scorer - a hat trick! 40 minutes into the game Dejan Mijatović had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came Siniša Popović. Some fine manouvering on the left lead to an 40:th minute Azdaje goal, making it 0 - 5. Ivica Mladenovic was noted down as the scorer. Jerkovic had to manage with a reduced squad from the 40:th minute on, as Jugoslav Radić got sent off for a foul in a free situation. The away team´s Ivica Mladenovic took advantage of a mistake to the home side´s right in the 41st minute increasing Azdaje´s lead to 0 - 6. After this Azdaje lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts. Azdaje had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation was down to weak. 0 - 6 was the half-time score. Azdaje, bringing the final ball possession rate to 60 percent, dominated the battle.
The Azdaje players spent the half-time break getting a rerun of the teams tactical organization and regained a passable organisation. What ever got into Jules Causse, the crowd mumbled, as he suddenly struck a cross pass through the own defense - ending up right in front of Azdaje´s Per Eriksen, who easily put the ball away for 0-7. Azdaje´s Đorđe Dobrnjac received a play slashing through the home side´s defense in the 70:th minute, chipping it past the keeper scoring 0 - 8. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. After 85 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Miodrag Grnčarov who increased Azdaje´s lead to 0 - 9. Jerkovic had made all their substitutions, and were forced to go on with a reduced lineup. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Azdaje, with an impressive 54 percent possession of the ball.
The most dominating Jerkovic player was without a doubt Milan Lerinc. However, Tvrtko Medica made a disastrous appearance. Azdaje´s best player was Per Eriksen. Miodrag Grnčarov was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 11.
