It took us (me) nearly a year from the time our previous website crashed, but after a very long wait I am pleased to make the following announcement:

All data pertaining to previous intramural seasons has been re-uploaded!

Of course, I'm only talking about seasons Fall 2004 onwards, i.e. when we first implemented the Topscorers Ranking.

If you look towards the menu on the left, you will be able to see "Topscorers", "Team Rankings", and "Winners" section for each of the Fall, Winter, and Summer (May-July) semesters.

In future updates, I hope to include playoff trees for each season, the restoration of the "Hall of Fame" page (with all team champions since soccer intramurals have existed at McGill), as well as an "All-Time Intramural Topscorers" page. I won't give you any more details than that

, but stay tuned...

With PLAYOFFS just around the corner, the championship & topscorer race is on now more than ever! As the season reaches its final stretch, the first 5 regular season have already identified some of the title favorites. So let's have a close look.

Scorers and Team Rankings have been updated for all games up to (and including) Thursday October 23.

In Men's B, our MISN Impossible duo continues to lead the proceedings, with Ahmet Turkdogan (11

) overtaking his scoring buddy Irfan Qureshi (9

) thanks to an hat-trick performance in the last game of regular season. Several scorers have joined the trailing party however, lead by Jokers midfielder (and ex-McGill Redmen captain!) Daniel Jones (6

).

In Men's C, Mihai Suciu of FC Hammer is still on top with 5

, but his lack of goals in the last round means Charles Gauthier is gaining on him. The Firm player totals 4

, while right behind our top duo six players are lurking with 3

each.

In Women's A, still very low goaltotals for the moment. Emmanuelle Paquin of Bra Beatdown and Kelsey Martin of People Who Beat remain at 2

each, and they are joined by Julie Hwang of We Kick Balls .

Finally in Women's B finally, Samantha Zlotnik of Nebulas continues to lead, but Sofia Solar (Transformers) has caught up with her! Both players total 8

each and count a three-goal advance on Jodie Ng Fuk Chong of McGill United at third spot..

A long time overdue, the weekly reports on the "Race for Topscorer" are back. Due to a number of factors (our old website crashing, and my lack of time notably), we put the league-by-league analysis of scorers on hold, but now that we have hit week 3 of Intramurals, let's have a look on how things are faring on the pitches of Molson Stadium & Forbes Field.

Scorers and Team Rankings have been updated for all games up to (and including) Monday October 6.

With the absence of a Men's A division this year (due to an insufficient number of teams registering), scoring quality is very highly concentrated in the lower division. In Men's B, the MISN Impossible duo of Irfan Qureshi and Ahmet Turkdogan are taking a very early lead, and these two kids are anything but rookies in IM Soccer Topscoring ranks.

Irfan was Men's C topscorer in the Fall 2007 season and Men's B topscorer in June 2008, while Ahmet (or "AC" for his friends) has been raking topscorer titles left & right since his McGill debut: MA Spring 2007, MB June 2007, and MB Spring 2008, reaching his apogee during the Winter 2008 indoor season, in which he grabbed the Men's A AND the Co-Rec A titles, scoring a total of 62 goals that single semester!! In the current Fall 2008 season, Irfan (9

) has a slight lead on Ahmet (8

), with Woohyun Cho of WFCC trailing behind at 5

.

In Men's C, the good match form of FC Hammer also reflects in their topscorer Mihai Suciu, leading the charts with 5

. He is followed by Suning Jiang (Blown Caps) and Etienne Dunn-Sigouin (We Won 5 In A Row), totalling 3

each.

In Women's A, we have our lowest goalscoring total for the moment, also due to this being our smallest division this year. Emmanuelle Paquin of Bra Beatdown and Kelsey Martin of People Who Beat share the lead with 2

each.

In Women's B finally, Samantha Zlotnik of Nebulas (who are also leading the team charts with 3 wins out of 3 and a +13 goal differential) is on fire, totalling 7

so far! She is followed by Sofia Solar (6

) of Transformers, and Jodie Ng Fuk Chong (5

) of McGill United.
