Safe Again 2009-08-19 16:10:57
After languishing in the bottom two for much of the early season exchanges, the Wanderers go into their final game of the season safe from any fear of relegation. The gamble of a new coach in the shape of 'keeper Math Back and the sale of old midfield campaigner Gabriel Douglas in favour of youth appears to have paid dividends. The summer could be an interesting one as the new coach may look to bring in some new blood to improve the ageing backline.

4th Again - Thanks to Josh Utd! 2009-05-05 14:06:48
I second half rally by Champions Josh Utd saw them beat Scorchio 2-1 and allow the Wanderers to leapfrog Scorchio to 4th and the final safety spot. Wanderers finished the season with an 8-0 hammering of managerless Long Eaton Utd, made pleasing by the inclusion of 2 young stars of the future in the middle of the park Carr and Mason. Wanderers fans will again be hoping for the team to push on and challenge next season so high on the shopping list must be a new back four.

Season Round-Up 2009-01-11 21:54:25
After a dismal start to the season and an early exit from the cup, the Wanderers got a mid season run together along with back to back draws against the eventual champions the Wildhearts to climb as high as 2nd in the table. However the season ended how it started with a heavily defeat against Whitehaven followed by 2 draws to see the Wanderers drop to 4th. On a positive note we have guaranteed another season in Series V and set piece specialist Hinderling jointly picked up the golden boot.

Bouncebackability 2008-12-15 14:05:43
After such a promising end to last season with the Wanderers highest league placing, this season started dismally (no doubt due to the Mangers envolvement in the Non-league Diploma!). An opening day defeat might have sent alarm bells ringing, especially with an early cup exit, but the Wanderers have shown great bouncebackability and propelled themselves up to second place with a 7 game unbeaten run. A win on Sunday and defeat for Scorchio at Whitehaven will see the Wanderers safe for another season.

Thoughts Through Blurry Eyes 2008-09-22 17:40:02
As the hangovers kicked in following the end of season bash in the 'Shed' at The Royal Oak, thoughts turned to a great season by the Wanderers. Despite defensive frailties, finishing second was a great achievement, having taken points off everyone bar the dominant title winners Athletico. The Wanderers hierarchy sent congratulation messages to the 'Boom' and also wished them good luck in their playoff. Sadly, Widnes and Wezzers have been relegated after 1 season, but Santos have a playoff fight along with Myrtile. What will next season bring?
